Background: With a long history of woodworking and a degree from Berklee College of Music building guitars was an easy evolution for me. In the late 90's I started experimenting, building a few new guitars and fixing hopelessly broken ones. 10 years later, as time allowed, it became a more serious endeavor. Today building guitars is a daily routine, though I split the day leaving time to practice the guitar. One passion provides motivation for the other.
Focus: Fitting big jazzy tone into a smaller more comfortable guitar, that's what I strive for. A guitar you can hold for countless hours of practice and bring to a gig, plug in, confident it will perform well in an ensemble--feedback resistant, chordal clarity, and a strong single note voice.
